The fairplay Initiative, as a partner in the European EDU:PACT project “Intercultural Education through Physical Activity, Coaching and Training”, invites to an interactive online conference that is organised by the Centre for Sport Science and University Sports at the University of Vienna on 2nd of March.
Research indicates that many physical education teachers and coaches have not received formal training on working with diverse groups, and lack professional competences in the area of intercultural education.
So what are the current challenges for PE teachers and coaches when they are teaching culturally, ethnically and linguistically heterogeneous classes of pupils or athletes?
What are the future perspectives of intercultural education in the setting of school and sports clubs?
Join the conference
Join this interactive online conference, that will focus on intercultural education in school sport and sports club environments, and will provide an insight into the results and tools developed in the Erasmus+ project EDU:PACT.
Target groups: government representatives and policy makers, persons responsible for educational programs and coaching education, audience from universities, universities of applied sciences and umbrella organizations. PE teachers, coaches, experts working in the field of intercultural education.

About EDU:PACT
EDU:PACT aims to improve inclusive intercultural education in and through physical education and sport. An international Train the Trainers seminar and national multiplier workshops were held in all five partner countries (Aut, Ger, Gre, Ita, Den), a printed handbook for coaches and teachers and an interactive online toolkit were produced.
The project created four modules including practical activities on Intercultural Education, which can be implemented in teaching and coaching curriculums in future.
