EYESS Final Conference

EYESS Final Conference

The final event of the EYESS project led by UISP Nazionale takes place on 19 February 2021 starting online at 10 am - register below!

The final conference of the EYESS ("European Youth Engaging in Solidarity and Sport") project was supposed to take place last November in Bologna, Italy. The Corona pandemic prevented this, and the project period was extended until the end of March 2021. Unione Italiana Sport per Tutti (UISP) is organising the event online on 19 February 2021, starting at 10 a.m., which was planned as a big conference where many of the participants in the various activities should have come to Italy.

Volleyball tournament #WeHavePlace as an example of social inclusion in sport

The EYESS online conference will be an opportunity to discuss sport as a tool for social inclusion, from different perspectives, together with Italian and international guests. The day will be bilingual (Italian and English) and plenary sessions will alternate with parallel workshops. At one of the workshops, the Viennese grassroots association Neuer Start will report from the pilot event in Austria, which took place on 3 October 2020 under the motto #WirhabenPlatz, and will address the difficulties of organising due to restrictions and Corona regulations.

You can find a few posts about the EYESS Volleyball Tournament on the EYESS Facebook Channel: Post 1, Post 2, Post 3.

The detailed conference programme is being finalised, updates will be posted on the EYESS homepage and Facebook and Instagram channels.

You can already register for the conference here. Updates on the programme will be sent with the registration.

Mondiali Antirazzisti

Our Italian partner organisation Uisp Nazionale invented the #mondialiantirazzisti more than 20 years ago and since then it has become a great and extraordinary sport and cultural event against racism and discrimination.

Groups have been found in many countries that, after participating in the Mondiali Antirazzisti, have held similar events in its spirit. The aim of the EYESS project is to transfer this spirit to other countries and to provide support to committed young people and groups to organise Mondiali events at home.

Infographics, support and toolkits

Uisp Nazionale has made available online support and infographics for the planning, preparation, implementation and online communication of such events, which can be downloaded directly from the EYESS homepage as PDF!

"EYESS - European Youth Engaging in Solidarity and Sport" (EYESS) is a project funded under the European Erasmus + Sport programme, which aims to promote social inclusion and combat discrimination through sport and especially through a new joint engagement of non-profit organisations and universities.
