Inclusion Workshop and Football Tournament in Lisbon

During the Week Against Racism (24 February - 2 March) the Portuguese partner of the SPIN Project Sindicato dos Jogadores Profissionais de Futebol (SJPF – Portuguese Players Union) organises an inclusion workshop and as well a football tournament wherefore deprived and socially excluded teams are invited.

On March 2, 2012 the SJPF is holding a workshop about social integration in and through sport. The day starts with an opening ceremony wherefore guests like the UN-Commissioner for Refugees António Guterres, the State Secretary for Youth and Sport Alexandre Mestre and the Commissioner for Immigration and intercultural Dialogue Rosário Farmhouse are invited.

For the afternoon two workshops are planned, one is about good practice examples for social integration in football and the other one is about good practice examples for integration in sports in general. Furthermore there is as well a football tournament organised for deprived and socially excluded teams.
