International Experts in Jena

From 23th to 24th of March the study visit of Fan Projects in Jena within the “Pro Supporters” Project takes place. Experts from Austria, Poland, Great Britain and the Fan Project Jena will be part of it

In July 2012 members of the Fan Project Jena participated in the launching conference in Liberec, where a cooperation between the Jena project and the ones in Wroclaw and Salzburg was arranged. Afterwards in August a study visit in Wroclaw followed. The Fan Project “Kibice Razem Slask Wroclaw” was examined in conjunction with the match between WKS Slask Wroclaw and Hannover 96. Now it is time for a study visit in Jena. In relation to the game of the FC Carl Zeiss Jena against the FSV Zwickau on Saturday, 23th of March, experts from Austria, Poland and Great Britain will visit the Fan Project Jena to have a closer look at the development and structure of the fan scene of Jena, the structure of the fan work and the concrete work of the fan project. A criteria catalogue will be produced for the establishment and the work of fan projects and launched at the European Seminar in Vienna in June 2013.

Within the European project “Pro Supporters – Connecting Fan Projects” (External link in new windowwww.prosupporters.net) – coordinated by FairPlay-VIDC – the German fan projects in Bremen and Jena had been selected to support new established fan projects in Austria, Poland and the Czech Republic through international exchange.

Expected guests in Jena:

Thomas Gassler – from FairPlay-VIDC, coordinator of the exchange programme and of fan projects in Austria
David Hudelist, project manager from Fairplay-VIDC
Peter Millward - Durham University
Gabriele Rechberger - fanwork Salzburg
Jakub Kurowski and Tomasz Figurski – fan project “Kibice Razem Slask Wroclaw”

After the exchange of experience and discussion on Saturday the experts will accompany the members of the fan project on the match day.
