The pro supporters Champions League Final 2013 - European Seminar & Round Table in Vienna

Promoting inclusive and non-violent fan and football cultures

The Austrian initiative “FairPlay. Different Colours. One Game“ organises a “European Seminar and a Round Table - promoting inclusive and non-violent fan and football cultures”  in the framework of the EU-project “pro supporters – prevention through empowerment” in Vienna from 2nd to 4th of June.

The pro supporters Seminar and the Round Table look at lessons learned, evaluate the outcomes of the project and devise a follow-up of the project. The seminar aims at connecting high level representatives of football governing bodies (UEFA, EPFL, FIFPro, European Commission and the Council of Europe) with national and international fan representatives (Football Supporters Europe and Supporters Direct), fan project initiatives and anti-discrimination campaigners linked to the FARE network.

In three workshops we will present and discuss the work and the results of the pro supporters project including the presentation of a European handbook on Supporters Charters and an international criteria catalogue for the implementation of socio-preventive fan work. Furthermore, a Round Table will be organised where fans and representatives from clubs and football governing bodies will be able to discuss fan issues.

At the panel discussion we will ask the following question, "many voices, one game! Fans' dialogue and self-regulation in football - key to success or just an own goal?" We are already curious about the answers from the international panelists and hope for lively discussions, active participants and a positive outcome in order keep connencted and intensify the dialogue among all partners involved in our beloved game.
